With the release of its new model, Apple is able to compete with Samsung, as the iPhone now possesses the capability to record slow motion in 4K quality. Moreover, it has less noisy slow motion video recording. Thanks to the upgrade of a 48 MP ultra wide angle camera, the detailed close up images taken by the iPhone are much better than those taken by the Samsung phone. Though both the phones’ cinematographic video modes are fairly maximum in general, Apple has advanced in the variety of special modes.

Comparing the 16 Pro Max and S4 Ultra's camera is like comparing the PS5 to the PS5 Pro. They're the same picture

Samsung winning the portrait category is interesting choice, considering ios offers to do background blur to any photo even to ones captured in normal (not Portrait) mode. A feature is most definitely important.

So for those of you who need a quick summary,

Audio - Apple
Content - Apple
Special Modes - Apple
Selfie - Samsung
Selfie Content - Apple
Camera App - Draw
Editing - Samsung
Zoom - Samsung
Portrait - Samsung
Photos - Apple
Night Mode - Apple

Personal Note : Most important usage of a camera app for me has to be good photo and good videos at any point of time. Apple dominates both front and rear videos, as well as at night times, and it also is pretty good in rear camera photos, and I'd say I like the front camera of iPhone more, the goldeny look it gives as compared to that of Samsung... So I think the options that some of the options that Samsung won, like Editing is not of much use....
