We observe equal weight in a Shimano Xtr 12 speed setup and Sram’s AXS Eagle setup with an 11 speed cassette if we also include the weight of the cable and housing. Shifting is said to be more crisp and to need less adjustment over the period with Sram AXS Eagle compared to a full Shimano setup. On the other hand, Sram has Jacbts to switch between 11 and 12 speeds and prefers a mechanical setup rather than an electronic setup which XTR 12 speed shifter does have advantage.
