I’m currently in the process of cutting weight which means I’m looking to incorporate cardio with lifting. How would you suggest timing cardio sessions around lifting sessions?

What this means is that weight training should be performed before cardiovascular exercise to prevent an interference effect which may negatively impact weight training. If you wish to do a structured cardio work out, it should be performed following the weights or at a completely different time, recommended at least 6-8 hours apart if not possibly 24. This is crucial particularly for advanced trainees since combining cardiovascular and weights training can lead to suboptimal strength improvement in significantly trained individuals.
