Is the iPhone 16 Pro Max's Camera Button Made of Real Sapphire?

I've been looking at various pics of 16 PMs and numerous articles have made mention of the camera control button located on the right bottom side. Was that made from sapphire?

Confirmed, the camera control button on the iPhone 16 Pro Max is fully covered with real sapphire crystal. Tests suggest otherwise, specifically that pry glass is not pure sapphire, since scratches were recorded on levels 5, 6, 7 and 8 whereas pure sapphire would scratch at levels 8 or 9.
