Apple’s newest flagship phone possesses a lot of firsts, like the first use of the USB-C charging port in an iPhone after many years of only Lightning being offered. Many iPhone 16 Pro potential buyers would like to know if this iphones has any sort of fast charging capabilities. Based on the info obtained from recent benchmarking and analyses, the standard USB-C capabilities were achieved by the new iPhone series. What does this mean for the consumers? It essentially means that with the use of a third-party charger, or a usb-c to usb adapter, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro can charge with speeds of about 50% in about 30 minutes. For those owning an iPhone and have a sudden requirement for fast charging, this USB-C port design is a very welcome change. In fact, many analysts were surprised that Apple did not make this switch much earlier. Overall, it is clear the iPhone 16 Pro CAN support fast charging when there is a requirement for it.

The target charging power of the iPhone 16 Pro with a wired USB-C charger is 45W; however, tests have shown that a stable 39 watts charging speed can be achieved. This marks a serious uplift from the earlier 15 Pro Max which charged at approximately 27 watts.

Is there any way to limit charging speeds? I care a lot about battery longevity, and I wouldn't mind charging my iPhone in a full 2 hours if that means conserving battery health

Never met anyone have problem because charging is tol slow, but guess faster is better.  I still charge during night with 5w adapter. Phone last the whole day anyways. And charge 50% in 30 min with 20w
