Wired technology such as the Transatlantic telecommunication cable are used even today due to their capability and efficiency in sending vast amounts of data and are less interference-prone compared to satellites. Furthermore, providing internet for billions of people wirelessly will require a lot of satellites which is quite expensive. Cables are applicable to transfer huge amounts of information reliable as well as manageable over enormous distances.

Now studying about Networking I respect a lot every channel that tries to explain some concept in a simple way. More respect when they do it effectively, like this one. It is not an easy task!

Cables are underrated. They provide a solid connection, as well as less interference.

I have a question. When there is the cover of optical fiber cables or some other (i believe old copper cables in Germany - that is why internet in Germany is so slow), whom it belongs? Why each provider has other internet cover (signal i mean)?
