Im a black man who grew up in foster care I've had foster parents who would beat my foster mother and his children one day he did it in front of company and his children I went upstairs with the kids and called the police and told my social worker as I got older i had more integrity and the mental capacity to do the right thing when something is wrong something I've learned over time many lack and find problematic because they don't like being challenged especially when they have money and power I've been threatened and physically attacked when standing up to others however I've been through so much especially as an orphan that threats simply don't scare me I know if I ever lost my cool after everything I endured i could give any wannabe tough guy or monster a run for their money however the thing that keeps me in line is my soul my conscious my empathy even though I hide it and respect for human life
