When the new 24-inch iMac is compared to its older sibling, the 27-inch model, it can be concluded that the latter is three inches thicker and heavier. Overall, it has a more rounded design but with a sparser aesthetic than the 27-inch Apple iMac. Unlike the other models, this version does not have the chin logotype; therefore, the Apple badge can be baffling to locate. The new 24 inch does not have a stand which is larger in size, camera cut-outs, and RAM doors, which were previously found on the larger model. The iMac also has a cleaner design, as its speaker and exhaust vents are located within a strip on the lower edge of the device. Apple removed the old rubber pads, which have now been replaced with those that were seen in leaks regarding the new MacBook Air, and changed the chromatic Apple emblem, which was seen on the back of the device.
