The new AirPods 4 comes with the H2 chip which is responsible for computer processing such as that required from the microphones. This specifically boosts the ability to cut out background noise for phone conversations, increases Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode, and provides support for Adaptive Audio features. Nodding or shaking one's head is also used to respond to queries or phone calls which have been initiated by Siri. This is an important function as such characteristics advance the functionality and usability of the AirPods in general.
