Why Is Earning a Living Overemphasized in Society?

Why do I believe people regard earning a living so highly?

Someone sent me this this morning. I am unable to apply this to my unemployment, my desire to be fulkfilled in San Antonio beyond what I can control. My day will provide no satisfaction of life, yet my heart feels grateful for breath. I am a woman who is need of healing, I want out of drought and lack of feeling secure. I realized yesterday that I have to be the one who saves myself. Up on til then I prayed hoped for God to pity my and rescue me.

He forgets people born by their karmas and our sages found all human beings fall under basic FOUR different nature and live accordingly to hold the society. AND emphasized on moral foundations and dharma ways to live. When one fail in his duties, things lose balance, these gurus appear! Living to do his part in a society, to compliment the other three made living worthy. When men fail to do so….

As a result of societal conditioning, earning a living is regarded as the sole currency of wellbeing in many cultures. This view however can be myopic and inhibit the full potential of many individuals. No living organism is incapable of earning a living. It should not be the sole purpose of human’s existence. There is much more than just earning a living and if that is the only focus, it will restrict human innovation and intelligence.
