Is the 5K iMac from 2020 still a good choice in 2022?

I’m thinking of getting a 5K iMac that was released in the year 2020 and in the year 2022 is it feasible to buy this version? Will it handle the updates and the new tasks as well?

Lol no. I’d take the 2020 i9 with the 128gb ram and 5700 XT over the m1 iMac. Is just overall better.

This or the iMac Pro (2017)? They’re the same price on eBay used. Would love your input!

Absolutely! The 5K iMac released in 2020 is still quite a strong machine to use in 2022. It features an incredible 5K monitor, several ports such as Thunderbolt 3 and USB-A, and has upgradeable RAM. Though it may be one of the very last Intel Mac computers before the Apple chips came about, it is still sufficient in great day to day as well as professional workload. It can be configured with an Intel Core i9 processor, up to 128GB of RAM and 8TB storage which is extremely powerful for many years in the future.
