What are the new features of the AirPods 4 case?

In what ways do you believe the AirPods 4 charging case improves upon its predecessors?

This time, the AirPods 4 case has gotten even smaller in size, and has switched to USB-C charging, making things much easier. The case for the noise-cancelling version also comes with a tiny charging speaker, which represents a large step, a find my airpods feature, and wireless charging but also includes a wireless speaker for charging sounds and, finding lost Airpods. What did change was that the casing is smaller than the previous one so it will not support MagSafe any longer. The strap system keeping the Airpods inside the case feels a bit stronger but annoying, unlike before, you can still use the normal Apple watch puck chargers. In addition to this, there is nothing in the form of a physical button available for pairing, as this has been superseded with a touch sensor which has other functions too.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but the case on the AirPods 4 does not have a U1 chip in it, for ultrawide band. Meaning instead of finding the case nearby with precision finding, similar to an AirTag, these AirPods 4 with active noise cancelling does not have U1 in the case so it's more of a proximity with bluetooth.

Apple really just threw a USB-C on the AirPods Max and called it a day—classic! We need Steve Jobs back.

The Apple Watch charger compatibility is great. I have a nice bell in 3-in-1 stand on my bedside that can toss my AirPods and Pros on during the day (when I’m not charging a watch) and it works out great. The Apple travel duo charger also has an Apple Watch sized charger, so the options I have already integrated into my routine work out very nicely for me personally.

 Apple should’ve really added a Lanyard loop, MagSafe & Apple Watch charger compatibility like the Pro 2s.

They should add silicone wingtips. Earbuds with wingtips are the only ones that stay in my ear.

Really nice to see the non-Pro AirPods get a smaller case (not as nice as the original, but close) and pick up some of the higher-end features. They finally feel like a first-class citizen again.
