The new AirPods will benefit from the microphone input processing of the H2 chip, which enhances background noise suppression for telephone calls, Active Noise cancellation, Transparency mode, and Adaptive Audio. It also allows very low latency to be supported for the Vision Pro and allows the user to answer questions posed by Siri—for example, accepting calls or responding to texts—by nodding or shaking their heads. The H2 chip, a key part of the new AirPods, enables new features and upgrades in performance.

Did the microphone quality improve?
Do they still sound like 2006 YouTube audio quality to people on the other end?

Tell Em, Marques. A freakin joke $129 gets you an h2 chip, but $550 doesn’t.
