Having worked for more than a decade in the online space. Which of the two devices would suit my needs? The Mac Mini M2 Pro or the Mac Studio M2 Max as a content creator?

I'm planning to upgrade from a late-2016 MacPro (trashcan) to a mini pro but after comparing the specs with the Mac Studio M2 Max, I've decided to go with the later. I'll probably upgrade the base unit with the 1 Tb SSD. Either would probably have plenty of power but I like the extra ports on the Studio. I really appreciate your practical experience and advice. It's easy to get "hung up" over performance specs. Everyone doesn't need a race car to go to the grocery store. I go way back with Apple; my first computer was the Apple II+ in the mid-80's. I still have my first Macintosh. We've coma a long way since 5 inch floppy disks and 64K of RAM!

When looking at the Mac Mini M2 Pro and the Mac Studio M2 Max for content creation, it is mostly upon the heaviness and how often one performs resource-heavy workflows. If performing 3D modeling regularly, doing heavy creative work on most instances, or wanting quicker video rendering due to time-sensitive tasks, the Mac Studio M2 Max is ideal as it offers better GPU performance and dual media encoding engine. For more casual content creation though, the Mac Mini M2 Pro is still substantively capable but would be much more cheaper in terms of performance compared to the competition.
