There are expectations that the iPad 11th Gen would come equipped with at least an A16 Bionic chip, especially given that the A14 chip in 10th Gen devices is over two years old and not implemented in any of the latest iPhones. Should Apple stick to its principle, then the iPad 11 shall potentially fit a chip which is two generations older than the latest iPhone, which could be A16, supposing the newest iPhones appearing at this point are with A18 SoC.

I'm optimistic and hope in a M1 chip with 8 GB of RAM to be full compatible with Apple Intelligence  price targeting between iPad 10 and Air M2 would be awesome!

Hard to believe they leave Gen 11 out of Apple A I …. Would expect maybe A 17 or A18 to be in it

I cant see an A15 chipset from 2021 in this Ipad. I could see the A16 in it, to keep one ipad from not having apple intelligence.
Also it would make no sense for the iPad A14 in 2022 to bump up one chipset 2 years later, so it will skip the A15 no doubt.
But I also think using M chips on all ipads going forward is also possible.

Its like with the SE4 people think its coming March 2025 but they need the pull the old SE by December 2024. You think there really going to leave a 3 month gap of no budget iPhone?

I think with apple doing 2 events this fall and possibly 3 we will see alot of new devices in the next 3 months.
