The new iPad Pros for 2024 are seeing a massive change with new features like the M4 chip, sleeker and lighter structures, and 120Hz OLED panels. Bases are 256GB in capacity and include quad speakers with face ID, Thunderbolt USB-C and 4K ProRes video recording. Still, their pricing is rather high, starting from $999 for the 11-inch model. They have ultra-modern technologies but in some aspects, one can notice that even the older generations, such as Airs or Pro, can work just as well. How valuable such devices are to you personally will revolve around such factors as how much you have to spend and what you expect to gain.

Having extensively used the Air and Pro, I had to own the M4 Pro 11. The 120Hz OLED screen and incredible M4 chip makes it worth the extra money. It's expensive but not too terribly priced, especially if you get it at Apple's EDU store for 900 USD, and it comes with a 100 dollar Apple gift card.

If you’re gonna be using the it heavily for high demand games, long use times, etc, I think the 2022 pro is the perfect one for me. Enough storage and will be updated for a long time to come and can handle 120 fps games.

Hi Tom, so my old iPad 2017 pro was on its last legs. So I decided to upgrade a week ago to the new iPad Pro. And have to say your content looks amazing on this new OLED screen. I really only need it for casual use. Surfing the web, YouTube, email that sort of thing. But wanted to treat myself and also future proof myself at the same time as I plan to keep it for 5 plus years. And of course I got the Magic Keyboard to go with the 13 inch pro. My heart tells me to keep it. But…my brain says for that money get the MacBook Pro. I’ve got 5 days to decide whether to send it back? What’s your thoughts

Are you sure? I’m pretty sure you have to have the iPad Pro with at least an M1 chip to run Logic Pro and Final Cut. 0:56
