Will the New iMac Pro Replace the Intel iMac?

Is the new iMac Pro supposed to supersede the existing Intel iMac lines?

Indeed, the newer model of iMac Pro is aimed to be the successor of older versions of iMacs that run on Intel processors. This will especially be the first larger variant of iMac which will be equipped with Apple silicon instead of the Intel chips as used in previous models.

Putting the pro on it would make you believe that it is replacing the Intel Imac Pro, and not just the bigger Imac 27

Mac Studio was never a direct replacenent for a 27in iMac. You could get a fairly decent 27inch Intel iMac for around £1800. Basic Mac Studio + Apple 27inch monitor is £3500.
Let's have a bigger screen iMac but it doesn't need to be labelled 'Pro'. Have a Pro one as well, yes indeed, but let's also hope there's a real equlvalent to the Intel non Pro 27inch iMac.
