How much money will a user of the next iMac Pro reasonably expect to spend?

Expect the entry-level model to start above $3200—this will be the version with M4 Pro chip. The models with M4 Max chip could charge between $500 to $600 more bringing the total cost to about $4000.

You infer that a $3,200 price tag is pricey. I bought my first Mac (an SE-30) back in 1990 and spent $8,000 on it which included  24-pin printer, the max available hard drive of that era, and the maximum available RAM. And that was in 1990s dollars.  $3k to $4k seems a pittance in comparison to what you get for the money today in computing power.

Ridiculous pricing. I‘m using my Macmini with an 27‘‘ 4k Monitor for below 1000€. For storage I‘ve added a 1TB Samsung for roughly 100€, works perfect!

A 120hz 32" Pro Display XDR with an M4 Extreme packed inside it? $15000. I think it would be a great Mac Pro replacement.

I would like the bigger screen on the iMac but it’s too expensive. I’m still waiting for the iPad mini.

Almost $4000 for the upcoming iMac but graphical power of an Invidia 4050 GPU, a sub $300 graphic card. Yet people scream “take my money” as if it is a great investment.

if mac mini will get the decreased size box no need to buy 32 inch iMac from Apple due to the price tag which definitely will be enormous amount of money

Sounds like an amazing iMac, might need to take out a loan haha.

I prefer proper apple monitor 32 inch which not cost 3k

Come on Apple it doesn’t have to be a Pro. Just gives us a regular large all in one. Xeezuuzz…

It will cost an arm and a leg and a kidney plus some change. It will be well above 4k $ unles they decide to make a version with 8GB Ram and 256GB SSD.
