The M2 Ultra chip has notable advancements compared to previous generations. It is 15 to 20% quicker in single-core performance making it the highest score achieved by any Mac. With a single chip, multicore CPU performance is also up by 15-20 percent which again makes it the fastest Mac ever tested. And, the M2 Ultra has a new 76-core GPU, has improvements in software which increase work efficiency such as a new Media engine made for parallel workloads, but that can also focus all its cores on one workload for quicker exports.
