The iMac Pro’s configuration consists of an 8 core Xeon CPU, an AMD Radeon Vega 56 GPU, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD storage and features a 5K display. Released in 2016, the iMac Pro was a major refresh to a part of Apple’s Pro series of computers. With better display and overall hardware, it is at a good price even in the year 2024 for some users.

I purchased the top spec iMac Pro back in 2017 when they came out. I changed the original HDD to an SSD back in 2020. OWC sells SSD kits for the iMac Pro with everything you need, including screen removal tools. It's still my daily office driver.

For a developer, which I am. This thing is over-kill. Nothing will bog it down. I'd love to have it.

I spent $4000 on one back in 2020. Back then people were selling them for $5000…as they basically came out in Late 2017, and they retailed for like $7000 plus tax for the base model, which is truly insane. Honestly, mine has never been that fast, and the fans are crazy loud, this computer runs hot as balls all the time…I would not recommend buying one unless you’re getting one for under $1000
