I tend to see a lot of indie films. What qualities, then, make 'Ghost Light' a recommended watch?

Raves have it that ‘Ghost Light’ is indie cinema at its best. The film tells a simple and more personal story and features great acting, especially from Keith Kupferer’s performance. ‘Ghost Light’ contains many emotions, sometimes even bringing the audience to tears without them knowing it. According to the viewers, it is one of the best films for the awards season.

Going alphabetical....
The Bikeriders,
Civil War,
Dune Part II,
The Fall Guy,
Ghostlight, (saw incredible film, also has a lot of subtle moments in it that I liked)
In A Violent Nature,
Late Night with the Devil,
Lisa Frankenstoen, (polarizing film very messy at points but it's really grown on me)
Love Lies Bleeding,
The Promised Land (made the foreign Oscar shortlist but didn't get nomed.  Its a throwback to the period piece Oscarbait films of the 70-90;s.)

Nice to see "Ghostlight" acknowledged. Small film, unheralded, full of small truths and big (yet quietly rendered) emotions. Thank you. But note to serious critics: In any given year, you're lucky to have only two or three solidly fine ones which survive the test of time. Top Ten Lists are cumbersome and not authentic. They also tend to bury films like "Ghostlight."

Ghostlight sounds great but extra poignant if going through a breakup
