Cycling is a sport with a fair focus on the mental side, of which I am fascinated. For instance, during the course of events for the grand tour like the Tour de France, what are the mental aspects during a final time trial for a cyclist and how do they deal with the pressure?

When around the last time trial, it is important to remain calm. In my case, I had the white jersey and was second which is always a good position so the squad was getting ready for the ceremony. We were relaxed, familiar with the route and there was no anxiety and stress. I simply concentrated on the race, attacked the summit with maximum intensity and it turned out to be the best day in my life.

Great interview. Peter asked very good questions. It is obvious that he is true fan of cycling. Bravo @PeterAttiaMD
