With maps available for download in the watch's Offline Maps feature as of Apple Watch OS 11, users are no longer required to carry an iPhone while they are in navigation mode. Area maps, like New York, can be saved for offline use, and turn-by-turn guidance as well as topographical maps could be accessed. This is very helpful when undertaking activities like hiking or during travel to areas with weak cellular signals.

Will WatchOS 11 introduce buttons that will allow to use watch in many scenarios? Will normal metrics with meaningful data finally be introduced or Apple still displays some fancy graphics that mean nothing? I would also love to have some daily suggestions. For now only suggestion is to put the watch on the charger. And yeah, mapping with offline routing on OSM would be also needed.

Love how apple fans making excuses for ultra not able to last as long as the Garmin, I have an iPhone and apple products, but if your paying the price for ultra battery life should be at least a week or longer before charging. The logic behind oh put it on charge, how would ya like apple saying your Iphone only last 4 hours and “hey just put it on charge” lol, mind you I’m typing this on IPhone 16 pro max, so not a android user shitting on apple.
