The array of connection possibilities on the Samsung ViewFinity S9 includes the identical Thunderbolt 4 and three USB-C ports which are included in the apple studio display. Furthermore, it features a mini DisplayPort which adds one more port for connectivity.

I think it could be the best 5K monitor for Apple silicon mac & PC users since it comes with a MiniDisplayPort (which can't be used with all Macs with Thunderbolt 2). There aren't many 5K monitors (at 5120x2880px) available for PCs.

Super pumped for a 5K display - too bad Samsung have gone with the same route of adding speakers/ tv crap I don't need that pushes up the price for stuff most people will never use in order to compete with Apple on features - just make a 5K display only option please!

About the Smart TV Apps...that's something don't realize you need until you read that many streaming services doesn't support 4K on desktop OS,(Disney+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc...)

And when they launch support for desktop, they mean windows only or first in many cases.

This was an excellent content. While, I prefer to use only Apple monitors with my desktop systems. Glad to see this Samsung 5K View-Finity S9, entering into the marketplace as a lower cost option. A reviewer from Thailand noted that, the "mini display" port on the View-Finity S9, did not work properly with older Apple Intel computer models. So, when testing please check to verify if, this is true. (smile...smile)

I have a similar use case (MacBook Air & Windows Laptop) I currently have a Samsung Model # - LS32A700NWNXZA and I do enjoy it. I wish it was a little better w/ the Mac - but Now I find a need for Apple AirPlay 2 to use my MacBook Air w/o the usb-C connection. Do you recommend this? - I also have a TV mounted above (45" Samsung) but the Airplay stinks for text/spreadsheets etc. I think I am going to have to stick w/ a Monitor @ 32". What do you think? would U recommend the S9 or something like the Samsung M70A 4K UHD Smart Monitor - or Perhaps something like the Dell Ultra (other content) but with an Airplay dongle (not sure on the quality yet on the these... -- Thanks and God Bless!
