When it comes to breathing frequency during freestyle swimming, it is clear that each individual has his/her own preferences in terms of comfort, the amount of oxygen required and the specificevent he/she is preparing for. A few swimmers consider breathing after every two strokes and some may feel comfortable breathing after every three strokes. Still, one has to ensure to breathe well to have a good intake of oxygen. Breathe to both sides during training so as to create an even and adaptable stroke for the open water environment.
