Can I use Fan Control in tandem with the MSI Afterburner graphics card utility?

As far as your system fans are concerned, you may use Fan Control; however, it is better to let MSI Afterburner or the graphics card’s default fan curve control the graphics card fan. There is a high probability of conflict where two different software packages are used to control similar fans. Alternatively, you can always turn off one software’s fan controls and use the other.

Fan Control is one of the first things I install when setting up a PC, great piece of software. I just wish it was able to control AMD GPU fans, luckily the Radeon software makes it pretty easy to control fans separately.

Is it also for gaming laptops as well?  intel/cuda  RTX30xx/40xx series,  12thgen i9 20cores etc?
Have read at another place it not works on all systems.
Also msi afterburner doesn't have a "Fan" tab anymore as well, and there's nothing to find in the settings to enable that tab as well.
 Thx in advance..

Hey troublechute... my fan control for my GPU has a question mark next to the percentage of the fan speed. And it says that my settings for the gpu fan speed is being overridden by an external source. BUT I don't have any other external sources like MSI afterburner or anything like that running in the background... BTW I forgot to mention, but my gpu won't go under 30% fan speed because it is being overridden... can you help me?
