Snap’s AR spectacles also come with their own unique experience, but one which is distinctly different from the usual VR headsets used for viewing. For instance, the viewing angle is quite narrow and measures around 46 degrees, which gives an illusion of looking through a small window. The viewer is somewhat constrained in terms of their horizontal plane space available as their hands would be used for interaction. Different from the headsets covered in our other articles, Snap glasses have an entirely different purpose because they are made to be used outside in conjunction with AR enabled phones, so the detectors which work as lenses are also auto tinted when you are outside to prevent glare.
