Switching between shooting modes and settings on the iPhone 16 camera has been simplified thanks to the camera control button which allows the user’s finger to remain off the screen. Users can create a stable shot as there will be less hand movement while zooming due to the feel of a simple point and shoot camera that has been integrated into the iPhone interface.

When Sony did camera button, nobody noticed and copied. Now apple has done it, it is quite likely that Samsung, OnePlus, Motorola etc will also do camera button.

Option for casual and professional use.

Camera, simple traditional ease of use iPhone basic user interface for most people, for the pros there should be a easy way to turn on full manual control capabilities like on the third party apps.

I am still using Halide Mark II Pro and Blackmagic Camera. Apple could easily give all that but they refuse, saying "we don't want to be the first but we want to be the best".

Well...

The camera button especially isn’t worth an upgrade considering the upper volume button has acted as a camera shutter button for years but apparently no one knew

My mom got the 16 pro max. And the Capture button is absolutely useless. It’s much easier, faster, and more precise to zoom the traditional pinching way. And it’s a lot easier using the volume buttons/shutter button to take pictures than the button itself.

The camera button is unnecessary. It will be useless most of the time.

It would’ve been crazy if the camera control button were to be used as a fingerprint sensor, but then again it wouldn’t be called camera control. Also how weird that Beats makes cases for these phones

I didn't find any difference between the image quality of iphone 15 & 16

So I won't be buying the new phone
